The Spark of Inspiration—A Worm, a Podcast, and a Memory
Seeing an earthworm while hearing the relationship podcast sparked an unexpected memory of an ex-relationship. This moment became the catalyst for a deeper reflection on my relationship cycles, the choices I’ve made, and the patterns I’ve repeated. It was a simple, mundane moment that turned into something profound—a divine synchronicity that inspired a creative journey.
The Butterfly Effect—Symbolism and Transformation
One specific relationship stood out—a love I associated with a butterfly. Butterflies, often seen as symbols of divine love and transformation, resonated deeply with this connection. Reflecting on this, I began to see my relationships as part of a larger journey of growth and metamorphosis. This realization inspired me to think about how we all go through cycles of transformation, much like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. It wasn’t just about love; it was about personal evolution.
One day, I was cleaning my cat’s litter box while listening to a podcast about relationships. Near the litter box, there’s a small elevated table filled with plants. As I was cleaning, I noticed an earthworm had fallen to the floor, likely from one of the plant pots.
When I saw the worm while listening to the podcast, one of my ex-relationships came to mind.
I thought to myself, “This ex of mine is just like this worm.” That moment sparked a deeper reflection on my relationship cycles and the choices I’ve made.
I began thinking about one specific love in my life—someone whose energy I associated with a butterfly. If you know, butterflies often symbolize a divine love journey, a kind of message from the universe, angels, or God (whatever you believe in), mostly representing divine love.
I categorized all of my dating experiences, sorting them into groups just for fun, while also seeking to extract lessons from them. As I reflected on each one, I considered their energy, how they acted toward me, their emotional intelligence, and their level of maturity. This process helped me see patterns and understand the dynamics at play.
I also reflected on how my love cycles unfold—why I tend to choose certain types of people over others in my life, and what that says about my growth and preferences. It became a way to explore not just my past relationships, but also my patterns and choices.
Categorizing Love—Worms, Caterpillars, Butterflies, and Moths
I assigned relationships with a symbolic creature:
Worm: Relationships that felt stagnant. One does not have common sense with low emotional intelligence.
Caterpillar: Connections with growth potential but not yet transformed. (Don't think I can fix that type.) People who don't take responsibility for their actions with immature behaviors.
Butterfly: Divine, transformative love that felt like a message from the universe.
Moths: Persons that were drawn to my light. One has completed their transformation, which is ultimately destructive or fleeting to me. (I can't fix that type.)
A person doesn't have to be in one category; all relationships have their dynamic. One person can act like a moth in one relationship, a caterpillar in another relationship, or maybe a butterfly.
This exercise helped me see patterns in my choices and understand the lessons each relationship taught me. It was a playful yet insightful way to analyze my love life and growth.
From Reflection to Creation—Designing a Tarot Deck
I’ve always dreamed of creating a tarot deck, and this experience became the foundation for my design. I envisioned a tarot deck that told the story of transformation, blending the journey of a caterpillar into a butterfly with the archetypes of the tarot. The Minor Arcana cards would feature characters undergoing their metamorphosis, each tied to elemental symbols:
Fire/Wand: Fire and Firefly
Earth/Pentacle: Honey and Bee
Water/Cup: Water and Fish
Air/Sword: Snow/ice and Dragonfly
Each character would start as an egg, undergo a transformation, and emerge as their final form. This creative process became a way to channel my reflections into art, turning personal insights into something universal.
Divine Synchronicities—Recognizing and Interpreting Signs
Seeing the worm while listening to the podcast felt like a divine synchronicity—a meaningful coincidence that carried a message. I began to explore how synchronicities can shape our reality and guide us. Instead of just noticing patterns like 11:11 on a clock, I learned to interpret these signs in a way that was actionable and meaningful. This experience taught me to pay attention to the small, seemingly mundane moments that can hold profound insights.
Implementing Reflection—Using Podcasts and Experiences for Growth
The podcast I was listening to became a tool for self-reflection. It encouraged me to ask myself questions about my relationships, choices, and patterns. I realized that podcasts, books, or even casual conversations can be catalysts for personal growth if we take the time to reflect on how they resonate with our lives.
Turning Experiences into Inspiration—Shaping Your Reality
This entire journey started with a simple moment—a worm on the floor and a podcast in the background. But it became so much more. This chapter delves into how to take everyday experiences and use them as inspiration for creativity, self-discovery, and personal growth. It’s about seeing the magic in the mundane and using it to shape your reality in meaningful ways.
The Power of Symbolism—Creating Your Language of Meaning
Symbols became a language for me to understand my life. Exploring how to create your symbolic language to interpret your experiences. Whether it’s through animals, numbers, or colors, finding meaning in symbols can help you navigate life with more clarity and purpose
The Journey Continues—Embracing Transformation
The story doesn’t end here. It reflects the ongoing nature of transformation and growth. Just like the caterpillar’s journey to becoming a butterfly, our lives are filled with cycles of change. By embracing these cycles and learning from them, we can continue to evolve and create a life that feels aligned with our true selves.
Synchronicities in Action—Applying Lessons to Everyday Life
Through my example of seeing a worm while listening to a relationship podcast and connecting it to my past relationships, I hope to show how synchronicities can spark self-awareness and creativity.

The love between two butterflies that have completed their transformations. They are distinct butterflies, yet when they are together, they embody the harmony of a single butterfly's wings. It symbolizes the 'Lovers' card in the tarot deck's Transformation Cycle.
